The 2011 Subaru Forester is a compact crossover SUV available in six versions: 2. 5X, 2. 5X Luxury, 2. 5X Limited, 2. 5XT Luxury, 2. 5X Touring and 2. 5XT Touring.
The 2. 5X is equipped with 16-inch metal wheels, cruise control, full performance accessories, air-conditioning, automatic headlights, keyless entry, a tilt steering column, a trip computer and a four-speaker audio with CD player and optional stereo slot. The 2. 5X Luxury adds 17-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, roof rails, an eight-way performance driver bench with power-adjustable lumbar support, a tilt-and-telescoping steering column, Bluetooth with stereo streaming, steering-wheel stereo controls, Ipod integration, USB connectivity and reclining back seatbacks.

The 2. 5X Limited adds foglights, automatic conditioning, the All-weather suite (including heated mirrors, heated front seatings and windshield wiper de-icer), leather upholstery and a six-speaker audio with Six-cd changer. The 2. 5XT Luxury is alike to the 2. 5X Luxury but has a more comprehensive motor, a hood scoop and a back roof spoiler. The 2. 5X Touring builds on the 2. 5X Limited's list of amenities, adding bi-xenon headlights, dual-zone automatic conditioning, a one-touch folding back seatback, electroluminescent instrumentation and a rearview camera. The 2. 5XT Touring features the 2. 5XT Premium's features with those seen in the 2. 5X Touring.

The All-weather suite is auxillary on the 2. 5X Luxury, as is a portable Tomtom navigator. Limited and Touring trims are available with a conventional dash-mounted navigator that contains a touchscreen interface, a Single-cd player (replaces Six-cd) and an optional audio/video input slot. radio and a variety of look trim add-ons are provided as stand-alone features.
