The 2012 Nissan Maxima is a midsize entry-level luxury sedan available in S and SV versions.
The traditional equipment list for the base S model contains 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, a sunroof, keyless ignition/entry, cruise control, dual-zone automatic conditioning, cloth upholstery, performance front seatings (eight-way driver and four-way passenger), 60/40-split-folding back bench and a leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping helm. Also included are an auto-dimming rearview mirror, trip computer, Bluetooth phone capability and an eight-speaker audio with a Six-cd changer and an optional stereo slot. The new Limited Edition feature suite for S models contains a original grille and 18-inch dark silver alloy wheels, HID xenon headlights with smoke-tinted lenses, foglights and a back spoiler.
Moving up to the SV adds to the base S equipment foglights, leather upholstery, a driver-seat manual thigh-support extender and performance lumbar support, and a nine-speaker Bose stereo system with radio. The Monitor suite adds a 7-inch touchscreen controls interface, 2GB of digital audio cargo, an RCA optional audio-video slot, a rearview camera and an Ipod/usb stereo interface. The Cold suite adds heated front seatings, a heated steering wheel and heated mirrors. Xenon headlights are also available separately.
The SV can also be equipped with either the Luxury or Sport packages. Both add the xenon headlights, heated mirrors with driver-side auto-dimming, updated leather upholstery, the heated front seatings and steering wheel, driver bench memory functions, and a performance tilt-and-telescoping helm with paddle shifters. Back bucket seatings with a center cargo pass-through also replace the 60/40-split back seatbacks.
The Luxury suite goes on to include a dual-panel sunroof, a rearview camera, the 7-inch touchscreen, a ventilated driver bench, rear-seat stereo and conditionings, automatic up/down back windows, a performance back sunshade, wood trim, RCA optional audio-video slots (replaces traditional aux jack) and an Ipod interface. The Sport suite adds instead a sport-tuned suspension, 19-inch alloy wheels, smoked headlights, dark chrome grille, gray metallic stitching accents, a back spoiler and metallic-look dashboard trim. High-performance summer tires are an added feature with the Sport suite.
The Technology suite can be added to either of the above feature packages. It adds a voice-activated navigator with real-time traffic and weather, DVD playback and a single in-dash CD player (which changes the six-disc version), Bluetooth streaming stereo and 9. 3GB of digital audio cargo. .
