The 2012 Mini Cooper Mini Countryman is a four-seat wagon available in two versions: base and S. The latter can be equipped with all-wheel drive (dubbed ALL4).
The base Mini Countryman comes traditional with 17-inch alloy wheels, adjustable steering and throttle options, roof rails, cruise control, air-conditioning, a height-adjustable driver bench, leatherette (vinyl) upholstery, a tilt-and-telescoping leather-wrapped helm, a trip computer and a six-speaker audio system with a CD player, radio, HD radio and an optional stereo slot. The Mini Countryman S adds a turbocharged motor, various look trim, an adjustable traction control system, foglamps and sport seatings. The latter three items are available on the base vehicle.
There are a staggering number of features available on the Mini Countryman. Highlights include 18-inch wheels, a sport-tuned suspension, a variety of headlamp features (automatic, xenon and/or adaptive), heated mirrors and washer jets, back parking sensors, keyless ignition/entry, a dual-pane sunroof, automatic conditioning, various upholsteries (leather/cloth or full leather), heated front seatings, auto-dimming mirrors, Bluetooth, an Ipod/usb stereo interface and a 10-speaker Harman Kardon surround-sound stereo system. As with other Minis, the Mini Countryman can be further customized with special body graphics and a range of various dashboard color schemes.
Also available is Mini Connected, which contains a big screen inside the central speedometer and a corresponding console-mounted controller better suited to operate the car's available Bluetooth, Ipod and smartphone integration technologies. A navigator can be added to Mini Connected. .
