Mercedes-Benz CLC dimensions

The pretty Mercedes Mercedes-Benz CLC looks virtually identical to the Mercedes C-class in front of the windscreen, but it's the back half which will appeal to coupe consumers. The sides rise along the vehicle, which gives it a rakish look but means the back display is small, limiting visibility. The back lights aren't as simple on the eye as they are on its Sports Coupe predecessor either.

The Mercedes Mercedes-Benz CLC might only boast luggage room of 310 litres, rising to 1100, with the seatings folded, but the hatchback bootlid arrangement means access is very good. By comparison the Mercedes C-class saloon provides 475 litres, but the seatings don't fold. There's a good amount of room in the front and rear considering it's a coupe but back headroom suffers slightly. The biggest issue is visibility, particularly via the back window, but also around the back three-quarters; something which was hampered further by the auxillary dark tinted glass fitted to our test vehicle.

Two models are available in the Mercedes Mercedes-Benz CLC range: SE and Sport, both available with or without a panoramic glass sunroof. SE models include electric and heated look mirrors, electric front windows, conditioning, 16-inch alloy wheels, leather-trimmed three-spoke multi-function helm, bright halogen headlamps and front fog lamps, automatic headlamps, Parktronic visual and stereo front and back park sensors, sports seatings and chrome dashboard trim. The Sport model adds 18-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, speed-sensitive performance steering, tinted taillights, aluminium dashboard trim and Artico man-made leather upholstery.
