Maserati Quattroporte dimensions

The 2011 Maserati Quattroporte is a worthy luxury sedan with Italian pedigree, but in many ways it's now outdated compared to newer rivals. Maserati Quattroporte S offers the following pros: Distinctive styling; engaging handling; scintillating V8 soundtrack; extensive configuration features. Maserati Quattroporte S drawbacks are: More costly and less comprehensive than some competitors; missing some of the latest technological and luxury-oriented features.

The 2011 Maserati Quattroporte is a performance luxury sedan provided in base, S and Sport GT S trims.

Traditional equipment on the base Maserati Quattroporte contains 18-inch wheels, adaptive bi-xenon headlamps, foglamps, power-folding and heated outside mirrors, a power-actuated cargo lid, power-assisted doors, back parking sensors, a sunroof, a performance tilt-and-telescoping steering column, auto-dimming mirrors, leather upholstery, wood dashboard trim, 14-way power-adjustable front seatings with driver memory, a refrigerated cargo compartment in the front armrest, dual-zone automatic conditioning and a performance back sunshade. Also traditional is a Bose multimedia integration system with a 30-gigabyte hard drive, a voice-activated navigator, radio, an Ipod slot, a USB port and an 11-speaker surround-sound stereo system.

The S model adds the 4. 7-liter V8, 19-inch wheels, larger brakes, adjustable "skyhook" suspension dampers and polished Wenge wood dashboard trim. The Sport GT S is alike but has 20-inch wheels, a sport-tuned (nonadjustable) suspension, shift paddles, faux-suede bench inserts, and exclusive dashboard and look look-and-feel details.

Available on the base and S model is the auxillary Base Pack which adds various wheels, painted brake calipers, a faux suede headliner, contrasting-color upholstery stitching and carpet piping. Also provided is the Plus Pack, which contains all of the Base Pack's features plus front parking sensors, ventilated front seatings with massage functions, heated back seatings and a wood and leather helm. The Maserati Quattroporte S is also eligible for the Executive Pack that contains much of the Base and Plus Packs as well as shift paddles.

Many of the features from the higher-trimmed Maserati Quattroportes and the feature packages are available as stand-alone features. Additionally, consumers can add tinted glass, four-way power-adjustable and heated back outboard seatings, window blinds, rear-seat conditionings, fold-down trays in the front seatbacks and a rear-seat entertainment system. .
