The 2009 Vanden Plas is available in long-wheelbase form only and adds performance folding mirrors, a heated helm, heated and cooled front seatings, fold-down rear-seat picnic tables, lambswool rugs and extra veneer trim.
The 2009 Jaguar XJR (standard wheelbase only) adds a supercharged V8, 20-inch wheels, high-performance tires, updated brakes, a sport-tuned suspension, adaptive cruise control and a sport non-heated helm.
Auxillary on the Jaguar XJR and Vanden Plas are a Multimedia (DVD entertainment) Suite and a Warm Climate Suite that adds four-zone conditioning and back side sunshades. Both packages are traditional on the 2009 Super V8, which is essentially equipped with the Jaguar Xjr's performance bits and Vanden Plas' premium pieces. Added niceties on the Super V8 include a power-adjustable back bench (including lumbar support and head restraints) and back control of the front passenger bench (to enable a back passenger to maximize legroom). The Super V8 Portfolio Suite adds original wheels, special trim, a original dashboard color and radio. The latter item is auxillary on all XJ models. .
