The 2012 Chevrolet Chevrolet Tahoe is available in three versions: LS, LT and LTZ. The Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid is reviewed separately. Eight seating is traditional, but there are two auxillary seats arrangements: second-row captain's chairs drop the count to seven and an available 40/20/40 front seat bench ups it to nine.
The base Chevrolet Tahoe LS comes traditional with 17-inch alloy wheels, tri-zone manual conditioning, performance front seatings, a 60/40-split second-row bench and 50/50-split removable third-row bench. Also traditional are Bluetooth, Onstar and a six-speaker audio system with a CD player, back stereo controls, radio, an optional stereo slot and an Ipod/usb stereo interface. An auxillary Comfort suite contains power-adjustable pedals, remote ignition, back parking assist and a rearview camera system.
LT models include most available LS equipment plus foglamps, a locking back differential, tri-zone automatic conditioning, driver memory functions, leather upholstery and a nine-speaker Bose audio system. Among features not available on the LT are second-row captain's chairs and a Luxury suite with heated front and second-row seatings (with performance release), power-folding mirrors and a performance back liftgate. An auxillary Z71 Off-road suite adds specially tuned springs and shocks, 18-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tires, skid plates and original front and back fascias.
Ltz-trimmed Chevrolet Tahoes include the LT Luxury suite content with the captain's chairs as traditional equipment and add 20-inch wheels, an updated air suspension, perforated leather-trimmed seats with more adjustments, heated and ventilated front seatings, performance flip-and-fold second-row seatings, a hard-drive-based navigation system and a 10-speaker Bose surround-sound stereo system with digital-music cargo. The second-row split seat bench is still auxillary. LTZ features include power-retractable assist steps and a blind-spot warning system.
Auxillary on the LT and LTZ is the Sun, Entertainment and Destinations suite, which contains a sunroof and a rear-seat entertainment system. On the LT, it also contains the navigator.
A Trailering suite and a variety of 20- and 22-inch wheels are also auxillary on the Chevrolet Tahoe. .
