Audi A7 dimensions

The new 2012 Audi A7 hatchback is based on the refactored A6 sedan, and provides welcome versatility and lots of style. It's pricier than the A6, though, and seatings only four passengers. Audi A7 Sedan drawbacks are: Tight back headroom; significantly pricier than the A6.

The 2012 Audi A7 is a 4-door hatchback available in three versions: Luxury, Luxury Plus and Prestige.

Traditional equipment contains 18-inch wheels, adjustable drive options, automatic bi-xenon headlights, LED running lights, automatic wipers, heated windshield washers, heated and auto-dimming mirrors, a sunroof, cruise control, three-zone automatic conditioning, heated eight-way performance seatings with four-way lumbar adjustment, driver memory functions, leather upholstery, a tilt-and-telescoping helm, the Audi MMI system, Bluetooth, and a 14-speaker Bose audio system with a CD player, radio and an Ipod stereo interface.

Stepping up to the Luxury Plus adds 19-inch wheels, front and back parking sensors, a rearview camera, a navigator, an improved version of MMI, voice controls, a Six-cd changer and HD radio. The Prestige gets adaptive headlights with washers, S line look trim, keyless ignition/entry, four-zone automatic conditioning, ventilated front seatings, a power-adjustable helm and an updated Bose surround-sound stereo system.

The Cold Weather suite available on all trims contains heated back seatings and a heated helm. The Audi Side Assist suite contains a blind-spot warning system and a rear-end collision mitigation system. The Sport suite adds special 19-inch wheels, summer tires, a sport-tuned suspension and a sport helm with shift paddles. This suite can be updated with 20-inch wheels on the Luxury Plus and Prestige.

These trims can also be equipped with the Driver Assistance suite, which contains adaptive cruise control, a front collision warning system and the Side Assist suite. The Prestige can be optioned with the Innovation suite, which is essentially the Driver Assistance pack with an infrared night vision screen and a head-up screen. Stand-alone features on the Prestige include 20-inch wheels, LED headlights and a 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen surround-sound stereo system. .
